Meet the founder
It started with a scroll, a spark, and one unforgettable question.
As a single mom planning for her next chapter, our founder wanted to create a flexible, sustainable business she could grow for years to come. Then a colorful video from a cotton candy shop in Huntington Beach stopped her scroll. The artistry was exciting, but the joy on everyone’s faces was what stayed with her.
Months later, while sharing the idea with a friend, she heard the question that changed everything: “Why don’t you do that?” She found a secondhand machine, invited a friend over, and started practicing. Sugar flew everywhere, the first cones were far from perfect, and the kids happily sampled every attempt. It was messy, memorable, and genuinely fun.
She began by spinning cotton candy at friends’ children’s parties. One recommendation led to another, and a playful experiment grew into Royal Cotton Candy—a woman-owned Maricopa business bringing live-spun nostalgia to birthdays, weddings, gender reveals, community gatherings, and celebrations of every kind.
